    • We provide a set daily morning and afternoon shuttle to McCarthy and Kennicott, included for overnight stays.

    • An hourly shuttle also runs nearby throughout the day.
      A local walking trail connects you to the town of McCarthy (1 mile) or Kennicott (4 miles).

    • If you're booked on an adventure, guide services will pick up and drop off at our location.

    • Additional transportation can be arranged as needed and may incur a fee.

    • Cell service is limited to Verizon in McCarthy; other carriers typically do not have coverage.

    • We offer complimentary Wi-Fi in the Hall and Cabins to overnight guests.

    • Wi-Fi and cell service can be intermittent due to our remote setting. 

  • We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Hall with a rotating, daily set menu. Breakfast is included in overnight stays and lunch and dinner can be added on at any point.

    If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please notify us at the time of booking so we can do our best to accommodate. Additional charges may apply, availability is limited.

  • After your your reservation is made we will send you a detailed packing list.

RESERVATION Policies

Guest Acknowledgment

  • By requesting or confirming a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these policies.


Reservations & Deposits

  • A 100% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your stay.

  • Availability is not guaranteed until the deposit is received.

  • Credit card transactions are subject to a processing fee.

  • Rates may change until a reservation is confirmed.


Cancellations & Changes

  • Given the nature of remote travel, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

  • Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival incur a $50 cancellation fee.

  • Reservations are non-refundable and cannot be changed within 60 days of arrival.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: 4pm – 7pm

Check-out: 9am – 11am

If you need to arrive or depart outside our set windows for check-in and check-out, please get in touch in advance.

  • Custom transfer times may incur additional fees.


Arrival Coordination

  • Because of our remote location, all arrivals must be coordinated in advance and fall within a set daily transfer period, which is included.


  • The property is not accessible by private car. You can park at the footbridge for pickup or arrive by air at the McCarthy airstrip, where we'll meet you.

  • Please confirm your arrival time and transportation plans ahead of time—without this, we can't guarantee pickup.

  • Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out.

Delays & Travel Interruptions

This an extreme wilderness setting.

We are not responsible for delays or disruptions to travel plans, including those related to weather or transportation.

Travel insurance is strongly encouraged.

House Policies

Health & Safety

  • Our property is extremely remote, with no immediate access to medical facilities. In the event of an emergency, response may depend on search and rescue services and can take several hours.

  • We request that guests inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations.

  • Terrain may be uneven or challenging in places.

  • All guests are required to sign a liability waiver.


Accessibility

  • Due to the nature of our setting, accessibility can be limited. Please reach out—we’re happy to talk through what may be possible for your visit.


Gratuity

  • Gratuity is appreciated and shared among the full team, including the kitchen and lodge crew.

  • Common standard is 10% of lodging services and 20% food and beverage.

  • Gratuity can be added to your final bill at departure.

Property Policies

  • No smoking in or around cabins or lodge buildings.

  • No pets in guest cabins or lodge buildings, including emotional support animals and other non-service animals. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability are welcome, in accordance with applicable law.

  • Firearms are not permitted on the property.

  • A minimum $250 cleaning fee applies for violations of any of the above.


Children & Age Requirements

  • Guests must be 21 years or older to make a reservation.

  • Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Children of all ages count toward occupancy, and standard rates apply.

  • For everyone’s safety, children must be supervised at all times and follow staff and guide instructions.

  • Childcare is not available on site.
